The "Tim, Get your Ass in Gear!" Contest

Contest Results:
Well, it's interesting to see who entered into this contest and what they did. Obviously, the rules left a great amount of room for improvisation, so it was definetly interesting to see the different stuff people came up with. Before I announce the winner here, let me show you some of the "Runners up". They, of course, win absolutely nothing. But hey, I acknowledge their existence here, so that should certainly be more than enough to make any man happy.

First, I'd like to thank Keglamorphic for the gift strip he submitted to me earlier this week. Though I don't think it was meant to be a contest entry, I felt it was a worthy entry, and treated it as if it were one. I liked the winner a tad better, but this one came durn close.

His wasn't the only comic entered though. A man calling himself Anonymous Genius sent a strip today, too. It's a bit late, but it wouldn't have changed my mind on the winner anyways.

Finally, before I announce the winner, I wanna' acknowledge Steven Furtado's entry. Certainly original, and extremely close to being the winner, Steven sent me an E-Mail claiming the following:

"I plan to wear this paper on my shirt until Tim updates"

Despite that there's obviously no way he could prove such a claim, I give him big props for coming up with something I might have done, had our roles been reversed.

Alright, alright, I'll tell you the winner... geez. Well, his entry seemed a tad dissapointing to a few people (Including Tim, oddly), but the winner is up to ME, and I think he had the right idea.

May Tan, better known as MaeJeMx, sent this, to encourage Tim to get back into drawing strips. I felt this entry best anticipated Tim's perspective, and actually shows a good deal of thought in that regard.

So, May, you'll be getting a follow-up E-Mail shortly to get a few more details resolved, and after that, you'll have a bran' spankin' new (Minus the pendant) copy of Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete! Wheeee!

Contest Rules:
To enter, do something you believe will get Tim to get off his butt and start making comics regularly again. What you do is entirely up to you- Make a pleading E-Mail, get your friends to gang up and yell at him on the message board, draw him a nice picture, send him nude photos of yourself (As a bribe if you're a girl, or as a threat if you're a guy). But whatever you choose to do, you have to DO it. None of this, "I'd talk to the president of the United States and get him to pay Tim a million dollars" crap.
When you're done, send me an E-Mail with your name (Or whatever you want to go by), address, telling me what you did (And no cheating- I can always ask Tim if you're lying or not). All entries must be recieved by midnight PST on Friday, October 19, and the contest winner will be announced on Monday, October 22.

Because I have no idea what entry would have the best effect on Tim's psyche, the winner will again be picked purely according to my personal tastes- whatever I find the most funny, heartwarming, or just plain interesting.

The contest winner will recieve a new copy of Lunar 2: Eternal Blue for the Sony Playstation (Minus the cool replica of Lucia's pendant, because I wanna' keep that). Rest assured, the game itself and remaining extras (Music CD, hardbound instruction book, etc.) are impeccable (And I reiterate- NEVER. BEEN. USED.), and certainly worthwhile. If you're someone who's never played the first game, don't worry- this one's completely enjoyable (The words "Frickin' fantastic" come to mind) without having played the original. And if you're an unfortunate person without a Playstation or PS2, you can either save this until you get one, or turn around and sell it on eBay, where it'll fetch a pretty damn good price.

In any case, I reserve the right to share your entries with the group, so don't do anything that will get you banned from society (Like spamming). On the other hand, I reserve the right to NOT share your entry with the group, so if you do something damn boring, don't whine to me when I don't publicize it.

In any case, get goin', and... uhhh... have fun!
