 Jake's Clever Banter Well, Tim seems to have decided to go ahead with the "Two a week" thing, because that seems to be all I'm getting. Plus side is, what he IS drawing is very nice, I think. And I really like today's strip, so no doubt you guys will hate it. Oh well. ... And just when I thought things in gaming might slow down, they're not. You see, I still have to get Capcom vs. SNK 2, Splashdown, and Doom on GBA. SSB: Melee, Fatal Fury: Mark of the Wolves, and the PS2 version of Max Payne are almost out. And from initial reviews, both Frequency and the new PS2 Baldur's Gate defy my predictions are are actually supposedly very GOOD. Well slap my ankle and call me Henry! Or... on second thought, don't. Meantime, I'm hanging out with SSX Tricky, Tony Hawk 3, and Monkey Ball (Which starts out moronically easy and becomes incredibly tough). Oh, and also Smuggler's Run 2, which I got free because I'm representing the company that's publishing it. It's funny that this game sorta' got lost in the Christmas shuffle, because it's a good fun simple game, which is exactly what I needed. Oh, and I saw the Planet of the Apes re-make. I went into is with very low expectations, and it was better than I expected, but not much. Basically, you take out the cool monkey makeup and stylistic Tim Burton style and you have a crappy crappy movie with a plot that consists of the following: *Spoilers!* Astronaut: Apes suck! *Twist of fate lands astronaut on the Planet of the Apes* Guy Ape: Ugh! Humans suck! Astronaut: Where the hell is this? Guy Ape: *Beats the shit out of astronaut* Humans suck! Girl Ape: Humans aren't so bad! Astronaut: You two suck. Where the hell is this, anyhow? Guy Ape: *Beats the shit out of astronaut* Humans suck! Girl Ape: Humans aren't so bad! Astronaut: You two suck. I'm gonna' escape now. Guy Ape: Humans suck! We can't let them escape! Girl Ape: Humans aren't so bad! I'm gonna' help them escape! Astronaut: You two suck. But the girl ape likes me, so I'm stuck with her. Guy Ape: Humans suck! Let's kill them! Girl Ape: Humans aren't so bad! Look! They have cool things like guns! Charlton Heston: Humans have cool things like guns, so they're better than us. Guy Ape: But... but humans suck! Charlton Heston: *Dies* Guy Ape: Nooooooooooooo! Now I hate humans even more, for no damn good reason! Astronaut: I still think you all suck. Guy Ape: No, YOU suck! Astronaut: Oh YEAH? Well, I'm responsible for this mess, so HA! *Big fight scene, coupled with deus ex machina* Girl Ape: Wow. I guess we do suck after all! Astronaut: I'm outta' here, bozos. *Predictable plot twist* Astronaut: Noooooooooooooooooooooo! ... A bit longer than I anticipated. I was originally gonna' leave it at "You suck", "No YOU suck", but decided to elborate. Funny... this ends up sounding more than I intended like one of Toastyfrog.com's thumbnail theatres... Perhaps it's my overuse of the word "Suck". Then again, that word seems only fitting for this movie. So... uhhh... how are you? |
 Tim's Clever Banter This new strip departs from the toilet humor for a brief moment to bring you a different kind of gross humor. The kind with gas. MONSTROUS gas. Well, I finished Metal Gear Solid 2. And despite popular belief, I loved the game and its intruiging (if convoluted) plot. It's a worthy successor to MGS1 in every way, so if you don't have a PS2 yet GET ONE NOW and GET MGS2. You'll thank me when you're older. I also saw the Harry Potter movie recently. Overall, it was a good movie, if a tad too long for my tastes. But that Quidditch game was pretty cool. Still can't wait for the Lord of the Rings movie. I've waited for EONS to see Bilbo and his Hobbit pals on the silver screen. Actually, I absolutely hated the Fellowship of the Ring. I quit reading it halfway through due to Tolkien's lengthy, boring writing style. But hey, maybe I should give it another chance... after all... Bilbo... Bilbo Baggins... Back to videogames, I'm gonna get a copy of Final Fantasy X before all of you. So nyah...... watching preview movies of Final Fantasy XI and Xenosaga make me even more thankful for my PS2.
