Jake's Clever Banter 12/12/01 -You people make me FLY! I suppose I should make a Shirt-Guy Gom strip. I really should. But someday we'll be updating on a regular basis again, and people new to the comic scanning the comic archives will wonder just why the heck the storyline broke up into stick-figure strips a few months in... *Sigh* My hands are tied, here. I either piss you guys off now or risk losing new readers later... But despite all this (I swear, we're working on it! I swear we're working on it!), you guys are still so great to us. After my pathetic plea for fan-strips yesterday, John Kegla sent us the whacky strip you see today. John has really been cool in that regard- he seems to have strips on almost as often as Tim does. I'd take over and draw a few myself, but... well... I suck at art. Tiiiiiiiiiiiim..... Helllllllllp? 12/11/01 - I'm once again the Smash F-in' masta' Okay, okay... I do admit I'm still not nearly as good at Smash Melee as I used to be with the original, but I'm getting there, and I still think I'm damn good... But... but the computer players in the "Very Hard" mode still wipe the floor with me! *Sigh* I guess I have a long way to go still. Favorite character? Well, as I've said, I do like Sheik, mainly for her regular moves, as I find her special moves unspectacular. Two of the hidden characters, Roy and Marth, are also pretty good... Geez, Idunno... Just about everyone that was good in the first game seems BETTER in this one, so I like almost all of them. J-Puff and Luigi still suck (Possibly MORE now), and Gannondorf, Young Link and Pichu (Three more secret characters) are underwhelming, but aside from that, almost everyone has a niche... Well, I can't speak personally for the last two hidden characters- I haven't gotten them yet. Tim keeps asking me if I've reserved FFX yet, and in all honesty, even though I'll certainly be getting this game, I really don't care WHEN I'll be getting it, as I simply don't have time to play it at the moment. No doubt It'll sell out at it's new pre-Christmas release date, and I'll be missing out on it 'till next year, but I'm more than OK with that- plenty of games to play in the meantime, and the last thing I need to worry about now is trying to find time for not just a new game, but a new RPG- I still haven't finished the last 5 or so of those I started. And as much as I'd like to play FFX, I'd really like to finish FFIX, Lunar 2, and Skies of Arcadia (Three awesome games, BTW) FIRST. Oh, that reminds me... I wonder if MaeJeMX still follows the website in it's current not-as-many-comics (i.e. Megatokyo-esque) state. If so, how're you enjoying your copy of Lunar 2? Which brings us to another topic- contests. Yeah, there's another one coming up in a month or two, but it's timing largely depends on Tim, and how long it takes him to get his arse in gear... And Tim, if you read this, let it be known that I refuse to do a contest to get you to hurry up so I can do a contest. And if you guys hate us for not puting up any new comics, I can always renew my invitation for guest strips- Always welcome!
